Give the family a Christmas treat with a difference – a visit from Santa combined with a steam train ride through the forest on the Dean Forest Railway. Imagine the excitement - the sound of the steam train echoing through the forest as Santa moves through the coaches to meet every child...what a wonderful way to start the Christmas Festivities!
Every child receives a worthwhile present from Santa during the journey. Adults are not forgotten and receive a miniature and a hot mince pie from Santa’s helpers.
Santa Specials run from Norchard Station on 5th – 6th, 12th - 13th, 19th – 20th and 24th December. You can also have a snack in the café, browse in the well stocked shop for some Christmas presents and visit the free museum. The trains – and station – are all decorated to add to the festive atmosphere.
