Our clients are a charitable organisation providing housing and employment services to members of the community with Learning Difficulties or Mental Health problems. They employ around 350 staff working with the users of the service, to enable them to lead rich and fulfilling lives.

Locations:Hereford Area

Duration: Ongoing and Casual roles available. Ideally 6 months plus to ensure continuity of support.

Rates of Pay:
# Support Worker Level 2 - £7.00 + £0.84 Holiday Pay (Per Hour)

Hours:Various shifts available ranging from Part Time Shifts, Flexi Shifts and Full time work (37 hours) 

Support is Service User Led and shifts can be over 7 days (8:00am – 8:00pm) – there is no weekly rota as this can change according to the needs of the Service User
Therefore a degree of flexibility is required

Duties:

The role will be helping to support the service users within their own homes. You will act as a buddy, coach and befriended, helping them to integrate with the local community and feel more confident with day to day tasks. Duties could include helping them with shopping, cooking, hobbies or other activities to help towards this goal.

Daily tasks will include support to appointments, liaising with external agencies, support with shopping, support with cleaning, signposting to other support agencies, developing action plans and supporting Service Users to work on these to aid their recovery.

Additional duties at this level include, writing support plans, carrying out risk assessments, possibly supervising entry level Support Workers

Ideal candidates for this role will have worked within the care sector previously or have related experience

Training:

Full training will be provided. This will include on the job training and specific courses related to this field, an excellent opportunity for any candidates looking to enhance their skill set

You will not be asked to work alone with any service users considered to be a risk.

# This role involves large amounts of travel by car or public transport to meet the Service User’s needs
Full expenses are paid on a monthly basis; however you will need to cover the cost of travel etc until the claim is processed.
