Total Loss Negotiator
Salary: £14,500 - £15,500
Location: Gloucestershire


A leading international Insurance Organisation are seeking a Total Loss Negotiator within their Specialist Motor Insurance Claims Team. Reporting directly to the Total Loss Team Leader, you will be responsible for handling an allocated portfolio of Total Loss Claims, and providing customers with a quality service in line with the Claims Guiding Principles.


Responsibilities


To ensure that claims are handled in the correct technical manner, in accordance with policy cover, legal liability, departmental regulations, fraud, ABI and FSA Guidelines
Provide effective internal and external communications in order to achieve a quality customer service
Settle allocated claims and repudiate where no legal liability is present
Manage a personal caseload of files and make decisions on all aspects of the Claim within authority levels


Skills


Experienced negotiator capable of influencing the opinions of customers and fellow professionals
Previous experience within the Insurance Industry with knowledge of the claims environment would be beneficial
Skilful communicator capable of dealing effectively with all contacts ranging from the general public through to lawyers
