Beaumont House, a 5 star boutique Guest House in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England has an immediate vacancy for a General Assistant. This is a live in position [mandatory] for a single person and no charge for accommodation is made. Duties include answering the telephone, some housekeeping, serving breakfast, reception and other general duties around the hotel. If you are able to help with the preparation of a small number of evening meals [usually between 1 and 5], this would be an advantage. Applicants should have a pleasant personality and positive attitude [know how to smile!] and be physically strong enough to assist with luggage up 2 floors [25 kilos per suitcase maximum]. Applicants must also be numerate, well spoken and be able to communicate fluently in English - this is essential. Answering incoming telephone enquiries is an important part of the job.
We have a small multi national staff [ten including the owners who work in the business] who make a great team delivering a high standard of customer service.

Hourly pay commences at £5.85 [familiarisation] and will be reviewed after one month. Previous related experience is essential and references will be required. [Guaranteed work hours 36 per week with 2 days off].
