Reservoir and Booster First Line Manager
Role Objective:
The Reservoir and Booster First Line Manager is responsible for managing a team of operators to ensure distribution reservoir, booster and ancillary assets are operated and maintained to meet customer, environmental and regulatory requirements in a safe manner. This includes the planning and prioritisation of both routine and reactive activities to improve asset performance and reliability.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage and lead a team of operators who operate and maintain distribution assets
* Plan, risk assess and prioritise operational routine activities which also includes reservoir cleaning
* Identify and initiate follow on work and solutions to problematic processes and equipment
* Ensuring effective team working and communication incl. key stakeholders
* Staff development and welfare
* Deliver against key OPA targets; including DG2, DG3, DG7 and DWI incidents via effective operational and maintenance management of Distribution's key assets.
* Monitor and supervise contract work to ensure quality, delivery and adherence to STW standards.
* Promote safe working and ensuring compliance with the Company Health and Safety policy.
* Identify and promote capital investment to improve asset performance and reliability.
Experience:
Essential
* Good understanding of basic hydraulics.
* Experience in managing people and contractors.
* Health & Safety Awareness.
* Experience of working with Best Practice principles.
Desirable
* Knowledge and experience of the distribution system and associated assets
* Good technical knowledge of asset operation
* UADMS, Risk assessment, valve management
* City and Guilds / ONC in M,E & I preferred
* Knowledge and experience of the distribution system and associated assets
* Working knowledge of the distribution network and assets.

Qualifications:
Essential
* Must hold full UK driving license
* Good standard of education including GCSE Maths, English and science or equivalent.
* City and Guilds -Desirable
* Engineering related qualifications
* NVQ level qualifications.
* IT skills qualifications
Additional Information:
Circa Salary: upto £25,000
