Hays Education are currently looking for Cover Supervisors to work in schools in Gloucestershire from September 2009.We can offer full or part time work with excellent rates of pay
Working as a Cover Supervisor can be a rewarding career but also very demanding as you take on the responsibilities of the class Teacher Although there is always a Teacher close at hand if needed you will be expected to work off your own initiative and move your career forward building on these skills
Typical responsibilities of Cover Supervisors include:
Supervising work that has been set by the class Teacher
Interacting with pupils to assist with learning and teaching
Ensuring that pupils remain focused on their work
Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies
Reporting back on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising
This role will suit outgoing personalities who are looking for an exciting and rewarding role or looking to gain classroom experience before applying for a secondary teaching qualification
We are looking for candidates that have experience that will be relevant to controlling a classroom environment at secondary level.
