Purchase Ledger Assistant (Temporary)
Mitcheldean £8 per hour
Experienced purchase ledger assistant required for busy office based in the Mitcheldean area. Working as part of a team, the ideal candidate should have sound finance knowledge and be able to assist in the following areas:
• Setting up new accounts and keeping accurate records of any changes for audit purposes
• Ensure all payment requests are authorised, correctly coded and have the appropriate invoice or supporting documentation to be paid on time
• Produce inter company journals and process when required
• Dealing with employee expenses
• Ability to reconcile the purchase ledger at month end
• Reconcile supplier statements to the accounts payable software to ensure that all invoices have been received
• Check bank statements and ensure all entries are updated in the ledgers
• Filling all paid vouchers and reconciled statements
• Ensure Remittance advices are posted to suppliers on a timely basis
• Communicating with Suppliers on disputes with their accounts
• Any other ad hoc tasks as requested within the Finance department.
The successful candidate must have a solid purchase ledger background and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
