My name is Jamie Clayton and i am a chef currently looking for employment. I have written a brief description of myself and my career below.

I joined the Royal Navy at the age of 16 to pursue a different approach to the catering industry. Upon joining The Royal Navy i embarked on a ongoing training package that has included various training oppurtunities some of which included a 4 week training period at a cordon bleu cookery school in the heart of France. Throughout my six years in the Royal Navy i achieved and learnt a vast spectrum of skills both personally and culinary. I decided to leave the Royal Navy due to my ambition to work in the public sector. Upon leaving the Royal Navy i obtained employment in the Spanish city of Marbella where i was employed as a junior Sous chef within a well known Fish Restauraunt, during my time there i learnt many new skills and techniqes which have greatly broadened my skill range within a kitchen, after two years in Spain i decided it was time for a new challenge and returned to the U.K where i began emplyment in a local Brasserie as Second chef. Although i enjoyed the job i found it unchallenging and when a close friend told me about a job available in the cotswolds as a second chef i did not hesitate to apply and promptly began employment at the Kings Arms Mickleton which is a village just outside Stratford Upon-Avon which brings me up to the current date. Although i enjoy my current employment i find the location very restricting as there is no public transport. And with the coming months set to be very quiet for us i have decided that it is time for me to move on and upwards in my career. I have alot of experience in Kitchen management aswell as the cooking itself.
