Assisted by the nursery team of 11 staff already in place, your core responsibility will be to ensure continuing high quality childcare within a fun, stimulating and caring environment.

With overall responsibility for all aspects of running the nursery, your main duties will include:


·     All aspects of staffing, i.e. performance management, attendance patterns, recruitment, development, training
·     Development of EYFS curriculum
·     Set standards for nursery and ensure they are maintained 
·     Build relationships with parents and 3rd parties, e.g. Ofsted, Social Services, Early Years Dept
·     Work within budgetary constraints
·     Overall responsibility for the security of the children
·     Sustain a culture of equality

You will need to be qualified to NVQ3 as a minimum with previous experience at senior level. We are looking for someone who is PC literate and is committed to achieving results, and someone who has the following skills:
· Organisational - Succession and Budgetary skills
· Communication - With staff and parents, with experience of dealing with problematic issues and problem solving Staff Development - Experience of appraisals and identifying training requirements
· Equal Opps knowledge

This role is for a 1 year contract maternity cover,
