It's a long shot but I'm looking for a 3 bed (minimum) cottage or farmhouse or similar in need of some tlc. I would like to rent the property for a minimal rent in exchange for refurbishing to a high standard.

Once the work is done we would then renegotiate the rent and stay or simply move on.

My partner and I have experience in electrics, plumbing, carpentry and redorating, landscape gardening etc and would like a project to sink our teeth into but don't have funding to buy at present.

We have 4 children (15 - 3 years) and an elderly labradoor.

The ideal property would be near the Severn and/or the Forest of Dean but must be within 20 miles of Lydney - the more isolated the better. Initially we would be looking at 1 years lease to complete the majority of the works but that depends entirely on the property.
