Marketing Assistant - Internship

Our client is seeking a high performing graduate with an interest in marketing to join a fantastic new energy company as an intern initially, progressing to a permanent member of staff.

The internship will last for 3 months and will see you exposed to a lot more than photocopying and making tea. This is a genuine training programme aimed at highly motivated graduates.

The funky offices overlook rolling country hills in Gloucesteshire. A relocation allowance is on offer to the intern to help you get settled in the area and you will be joining 3 like minded graduates who have already begun internships in other parts of the company.

Our Client is the first new company to enter the UK domestic energy supply market in 3 years and will be doing things differently. The launch comes at a time when energy is higher on the national agenda than ever before and trust in the industry is at an all time low. Although just starting out, they have big
ambitions. The UK domestic energy market is worth about £56bn annually and they think the fresh approach will win them a healthy share.

The project
There’s nothing theoretical about this task. Working directly with the founders and external consultants, you will help create a strategy to enable us to communicate better with our customers.
This will involve understanding the industry, getting to know our customers and researching market trends.

Amongst other areas you will look at:
• Building our online presence
• Advertising and strategic partnerships
• Social networking
• Market strategy and brand positioning
• Regulation and compliance

If it goes as well as we expect, we will offer you a full time position. Where you go from there is really up to you. We’re a small team with a lot of work to do and you can effectively define your own role. After your first project, you might develop and implement a new marketing strategy, launch a consumer forum, or help design our first ad campaign. The horizons at are expansive.
