This leading-edge Web Development company, which has developed a proprietary hosted business management software solution that is sold as a service to business customers, is now looking for an experienced Web Developer / Web Development Manager / Team Leader. The company also provides bespoke web development, web design and internet marketing services.
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
Key Skills: PHP, MySQL, Javascript, XHTML, AJAX
They require an experienced, professional web developer to manage their web development team and provide commercial and technical leadership for their web solutions.
As a Web Developer / Web Development Manager / Team Leader you should be technically minded with the ability and confidence to convey information to technical and non technical people and senior members of staff both internally and externally.
KEY DUTIES FOR THIS WEB DEVELOPER / WEB DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / TEAM LEADER ROLE:
* To work closely alongside the Technical Director
* To assess customer requirements, write technical specification documents and to manage resource requirements in order to successfully plan and deliver projects on time
* Project manage and drive the online development of the business management software service and to make sure that excellent end-user experience is provided
* Mentor and train web developers
* To work alongside the development team and to write code when required as part of a project team
* To have a good knowledge of all the projects which are under development including the company's proprietary software so that any customer support calls can be efficiently dealt with
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS WEB DEVELOPER / WEB DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / TEAM LEADER ROLE:
* Demonstrable experience in the planning and project management of online development projects
* Good working knowledge of project management
* Strong previous hands on development background in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, XHTML, AJAX
DESIRABLE:
Experience managing web development teams.
