Assistant Management Accountant - Cardiff
This is a great opportunity for a Part qualified accountant to break into this fantastic employer based in Cardiff and develop into a qualified commercial accountant.
Experience within finance, ideally within the financial services, and qualification as a Chartered Accountant, or working towards the qualification is required for this role.
The job holder must be technically strong and keep up to date with financial accounting, financial regulations and regulatory requirements. Must be capable of independently researching and concluding on technical (accounting and regulatory) issues.
The job holder will be in contact with staff at all levels within the group , as well as professional advisors and other third parties, including the FSA and the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels, presenting a professional image is therefore essential.
This role requires a person with very good numeracy, literacy, and PC skills. The job holder is responsible for preparation of some of the financial information seen by the Group Board and the regulators and as such accuracy, clarity, independence, critical thinking, skilled judgment and appropriate analytical insight are critical. Â It is highly important that the role holder is well organised and works well under time pressure and possess the ability to plan effectively. The job holder will be party to sensitive strategic information and must demonstrate discretion and confidentiality at all times.
