Job Description
Architectural Technologist – based in Gloucester

Skills and abilities necessary:
CAD - preferably Vectorworks
Construction Detailing
Organisation of working drawing programmes
Good technical knowledge of planning and building regulations
Specific technical knowledge of relevant building types e.g.social housing, schools, health and community
Construction knowledge in relation to relevant building types
Computer literacy: email, word processing, spreadsheets

Duties:
Depending on the size of project you may be jointly or solely responsible for day to day involvement with some or all of the following:
Building survey
Feasibility preparation
Concept development
Drawings/reports/models
Cost awareness/control
Meetings/clients/consultants
Liaison with other consultants and contractors
Building legislation
Health & safety legislation
Consultants/specialists
Design and specification
Detailed drawings/schedules
Technical solutions
Investigation of technical issues
Preparation, checking and correction of planning drawings
Investigation of technical issues in relation to the detailed design
Investigation of appropriate products, specialist equipment and suppliers
Preparation and correction of detailed contract drawings
