This high quality, well-established Steel Fabricator is achieving record turnover and increased market share through effectively developing into new growth markets and are now growing their existing structural engineering design team. They are interested to hear from Structural Engineers with experience in design and calculations of Steel Structures.

This is an opportunity to take on all aspects of design and control of a range of small structural steel, steel masts and towers and steel piling projects. You will fully utilise your well developed problem solving mentality and liaison skills in dealing with clients, and all involved parties. There are large and fast moving workloads with a number of live projects on the go at one time.

The position will be on a contract basis position to start with, and with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate, depending on workload.

The company design, fabricate and install specialist and innovative structural steel products for the construction industry.There is an open and inclusive management structure. Salary will be based on level of experience and will be competitive to attract you.

For permanent staff, they can provide full training towards chartership for ICE or IStructE. Additionally the company have a staff profit related bonus scheme that can be up to 10% of salary.

The successful candidate will possess a Civil/Structural Engineering degree with experience in designing steel structures. Additional experience in a highways or rail environment, particularly preparing Approvals In Principle and detailed design documentation would be an benefit, as would geotechnical experience.

Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK, and hold a recognised degree qualification.
