My established client based in Cheltenham is looking for an experienced business development executive with local knowledge to enhance thier existing sales team. You would be expected to call local clients and make your own appointments to sell commercial vehicle agreements.
Local knowledge and experience is essential.
*To achieve agreed sales targets for new and used Commercial Vehicles within defined operating and financial guidelines.
*You will be required to spend part of your working week out of the dealership, prospecting for new business. The remainder will be spent in the showroom dealing with incoming enquiries and updating the prospecting system.
*You will make a positive contribution to the profitability of the van centre by adhering to a structured sales and prospecting process.
*You will be an ambassador for the business by promoting the whole dealership, increasing awareness of existing customers, maintaining and enhancing existing accounts and opening new ones.
*To actively prospect the local market area, focusing on generating long term relationships with local businesses.
*You will be able to communicate effectively with customers, discuss their requirements, negotiate pricing and discuss finance packages
*To prepare and use a planned sales presentation designed to achieve maximum results.
*You will achieve maximum customer satisfaction and retention through the effective delivery and handover of vehicles.
*Develop and use a planned daily, weekly and monthly sales call and prospecting programme as agreed with the Sales Manager and provide reports when required.
*Develop and maintain a full knowledge of all products, accessories, prices and key features of major competitors.
*Handle all customer queries and complaints and ensure they are resolved to achieve customer and company requirements. Advise Sales Manager and ensure appropriate action is taken in a timely manner.
*Ensure the accurate completion of all sales and financial paperwork in a timely manner.
*Carry out accurate vehicle appraisals of all part exchanges using a systematic appraisal record before agreeing valuation with the Sales Manager.
*Maintain all demonstrators supplied for personal use in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
*Not to supply vehicle valuations to customers without the agreement of the Sales Manager or Sales Controller.
*Not to enter into any purchase or sales contract without the approval of the Sales Manager.
