Opportunity for an engineer with CNC programming ability to work in a varied production role in a stable company. This role is vital to the company's future success as you will be involved with process improvement and new product introduction.
This stable company have a strong client base and are currently developing a range of new products alongside their current portfolio. You will be working on a number of projects at any one time.
With an open communication channel throughout the organisation, this role will be most suited to applicants who enjoy making positive contributions to production and seeing the changes happen.

The role:
* Undertake projects related to production methods and New Product Introduction, including the preparation of written reports, Work Instructions and quality criteria associated with New Product Introduction.
* Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include preliminary design, calculations, process and capability studies, life cycle cost and equipment selection.
* To organise and prioritise projects in order to meet production goals.
* To provide guidance and recommend improvements on production methods and identify ways to reduce production costs.
* To design, draw and source jigs and tooling.
* To assist in the selection of new machinery and control the preparation of appropriate technical specifications and CAD drawings.
* Prepare initial programmes for all CNC machines and undertake tool tryouts to ensure that the method is satisfactory.
The person required:
* Will hold an engineering based apprenticeship or a minimum of an HNC in engineering (or equivalent).
* Previous experience of manufacturing process improvement and new product introduction (in any industry).
* Previous CNC programming experience in a high volume high precision production environment.
