Group Director – Children and Young People – Gloucester

We have a job vacancy for a Group Director of Children and Young People's Services to join a professional and friendly corporate management team in Gloucester. This exciting opportunity will allow you to provide innovative leadership, ensuring the service offers the highest possible standards for children and young people.

Key responsibilities include:

·To lead, plan and deliver corporate and service priorities
·To support the Chief Executive
·Create and maintain partnerships with the Government and other key organisations
·Build systems, which ensure that the views of service users and the community are at the heart of policy development and service delivery
·Establish strategic priorities and monitor performance against agreed activities
·To be accountable as principal adviser on all aspects of services to children and young people

The successful candidate will have:

·A relevant professional qualification
·Substantial strategic leadership experience as a senior manager
·Proven track record of leading and implementing cultural change
·A track record of working in successful partnerships with a wide range of internal and external bodies
·Demonstrable understanding of equality issues in relation to both staff and services
